Establishing Propane Services with BEA
Establishing propane service with BEA requires the same application process as any other service.
We Require:
• A lease agreement/rent receipt or proof of ownership for the occupants
• Government Issued Photo ID
• Social Security Number
As with any of our services we perform a credit risk assessment, however, there is no deposit required for propane. Instead, we use it to determine whether or not a customer will be required to pre-pay for propane. This is also known as a COD account.
The guidelines are as follows:
GREEN |
Service applicants who pose no credit risk will be allowed to order propane for delivery and will receive a monthly billing statement. |
||
|
YELLOW |
Service applicants who pose a minimal credit risk will be allowed to order propane for delivery and will receive a monthly billing statement. |
|
|
RED |
Service applicants who pose a substantial credit risk will be placed on COD and propane will not be delivered until the customer pre-pays for the gas. |
|
|
**NOTE: All new customers are required to pre-pay for 200 gallons of propane when establishing service
regardless of credit status**
If at any time a customer fails to pay in a timely manner, the account automatically becomes a COD account. If/when the customer is taken off of COD status is at the discretion of our propane manager and/or BEA's general manager.
